Gbemi Soneye

Gbemi Soneye is a Karsh STEM Scholar and Honors student at Howard University, where she pursues interdisciplinary training at the intersection of neuroscience, public health, and translational science. As a Karsh Scholar, a distinction awarded to outstanding students demonstrating exceptional promise in science and leadership, Gbemi has cultivated a foundation in research, service, and innovation. She is deeply committed to understanding the structural determinants of health and translating knowledge into actionable solutions for health disparities.

Gbemi brings extensive experience in research, leadership, and science communication. She has conducted neuroscience and public health research at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Howard University

Across her work, Gbemi strives to integrate research, policy, and community engagement to drive meaningful, equity-focused change in the field of public health.
