Associate Director of Curriculum Development
Karina Pallikala

Karina Pallikala serves as the Associate Director of Curriculum Development. In this role, she works with the rest of the Education Team to advance the development of curriculum and educational modules, helping Voices of Equity members gain a fuller understanding of health equity and spread awareness of these issues.
She is an undergraduate at Cornell University majoring in Health Care Policy in the Brooks School of Public Policy, with an interest in pursuing law school in the future. Karina is passionate about advancing health equity through more inclusive and equitable health policies that improve access to care and patient outcomes. By examining past and current gaps in the healthcare landscape, she works to highlight the changes needed to reach underserved communities, and she believes that access to adequate healthcare is an essential part of human dignity.
Beyond her work with Voices of Equity, Karina spent her first semester at Cornell studying in the nation's capital as a DC Start Scholar, gaining an in-depth understanding of how public policy is formed and implemented. On campus, she is involved with Cornell Social Business Consulting, applying analytical thinking to socially impactful consulting projects, and serves on the organization's marketing committee. She also works as an editor for The Healthcare Review at Cornell University. Previously, Karina interned at the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she earned First Aid/CPR/AED certification, served as a Blood Donor Ambassador at the San Jose Blood Center, and trained as a Disaster Action Team Specialist.
